Product Training 1 Year, 7 Months ago Karma: 0
I have been involved in this industry for over 20 years in one capacity or another and one thing that continues to startle me is how often offers to train on a product line are turned down. I realize often there is no time, but an appointment could be scheduled. What I am referring to is the lack of interest in learning about new products or lines. Even if I felt my company had no need or desire for another manufacturer in a product category, shouldn't I take a few minutes to learn what my competition may be up to, or what other products may be entering the market, so if I need to compete with them I know how? A very wise man once said "The day we quit learning is the day we start dying".

I would like to hear from anyone who would care to comment about training and what place it has in your business, Specifically about products your company does not currently sell and training for your existing product lines.

Thanks
